Thanks to funding from the Missouri Department of Transportation, the KC Area Transportation Authority will add service on two routes from the Northland into Downtown. The extra bus service will provide more options for commuters to avoid congestion along I-35/I-29 as the new Paseo Bridge construction project progresses.  Both changes begin January 5th.

#129-I-29 Express
Two trips will be added in both the morning and evening peak direction.  This route runs along I-29 from KCI to the 10th and  Main Transit Center, including a stop at the Boardwalk Square MetroCenter off of NW Barry Road.

#142-North Oak
One trip will be added in each direction during the evening commute.  This route runs along North Oak from the Boardwalk Square MetroCenter to Downtown and Crown Center.

Also, the #102-Central will change its route to serve the new Prescott Plaza shopping center at 18th Street and I-70 in KCK.  This change will provide better access to the new grocery store at Prescott Plaza. This change also starts January 5th.
