News from the KCATA includes adding another rush hour run to Waldo on the MAX.  Right now every other MAX bus stops at the Plaza, but the extra servcie is being added in response to overcrowding.

The news is not so good in Independence.  That city has been struggling to cope with rising costs without a dedicated funding source for transit.  The city recently decided to cut some routes back to hourly service.  Now they are working with the KCATA on more cuts, including dropping mid-day service. Fares would also be raised. If you use transit in Independence, be sure to attend one of the upcoming public meetings.
